Barack Hussein Obama II, born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii, is an American statesman. It is the current and 44th president of the United States, elected for a first term on November 4, 2008 and re-elected on November 6, 2012.Son of a black Kenyan and a white American from Kansas of Irish descent, he is the first African-American who acceded to the Presidency of the United States. His career has aroused among voters as in worldwide media interest. Born in Hawaii, raised several years in Indonesia, a graduate of Columbia University and the Faculty of Harvard Law School, he is, in 1990, the first African-American to chair the prestigious Harvard Law Review, historical event in a country that has experienced racial segregation in the 1960s. After it was social worker, specifically "community organizer" (community organizer in English) in the southern districts of Chicago during the 1980s, then lawyer in civil law out of Harvard, he taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago from 1992 to 2004.
